This page contains the most recent inspection information for approximately 4800 food facilities
that have a permit to operate in Sacramento County. These include restaurants, bars, grocery stores,
convenience stores, school cafeterias and most facilities that dispense food to
the public. (There are several categories of food facility, specifically
mobile food vehicles and temporary events, that the
Environmental Management Department inspects and issues permits for, but
that are not included on
this site.)
The information available here includes (in accordance with
California Health and Safety Code 113947): name
and address of the food facility, identification of any major violations, date
of the last inspection or reinspection, period of closure (if applicable.) In addition, the
food inspection report itself is available on line (in Adobe Acrobat format) for
most inspections since July 1, 2002.
